The value of a professional certificate depends on what you studied, the level of the programme, the evidence behind the provider and how an employer, institution or regulator evaluates it.
A useful certificate should represent genuine learning, clear assessment and verifiable programme information. Institutional registration, academic partnerships, professional memberships and accreditation relationships can provide additional context, but they are not all the same and they do not create automatic recognition for every purpose.
How to evaluate an LCT certificate
Look at the course curriculum, learning outcomes, assessment, study hours or duration, certificate type and the institutional relationship that applies to that specific programme. For selected programmes, LCT also publishes academic-partnership information where joint university certification is available.
If you intend to use a certificate for employment, teacher licensing, immigration or further study, check the receiving organisation's requirements. A professional-development certificate can strengthen knowledge and a CV without replacing a statutory teaching licence where one is required.
