What this means in practice
This does not mean every assignment must ban AI. Schools can decide where AI is permitted, where disclosure is required and where independent work is essential.
Assessment can include staged drafts, oral follow-up, authentic application, in-class components and reflection on decisions to make evidence of learning more robust.
What should you check before deciding?
- What learning the task is meant to evidence
- Whether AI is allowed and under what conditions
- How process or reasoning will be captured
- How rules will be communicated consistently

AI-detection software should not be treated as infallible proof of misconduct.
